Simple: EURAXESS
EURAXESS is a Europe-wide initiative that facilitates researchers moving to a different country in order to start a new research job.
Why is EURAXESS useful for companies?
EURAXESS support starts with matching offer and demand on the job market for researchers.
The EURAXESS Job portals has an archive of 18.000 active research CVs from all over the world, and on average 2000 active job adverts on a daily basis. It is visited by 60.000 unique visitors per month. Your company can also post job adverts and consult CVs on-line.
How much does it cost you? Nothing!

And if Pjotr and Ellen indeed agree for him to start working in Amsterdam, how can Ellen get all Pjotr's paperwork processed in time for the start of that new project? And how can Pjotr find an apartment in Amsterdam for him and his family?
EURAXESS is more than a jobs database.
It is also aimed at offering mobile researchers - and the organisations which are employing them - customized information and guidance when moving to a country withinEurope. A European network of more than 200 service centres in 38 countries is there to help wih concrete issues that need an answer.
Each country has a national portal providing a wealth of practical information and tips about taking up a job and getting settled in the new country.Companies which are active in R&D and are internationally oriented, and which hire research not just nationally but also from other countries, can find practical information that can be a very useful starting point for their potential employees, and for themselves.
Is the information not clear enough? Do you have further questions?
The EURAXESS Service centres can help to answer practical questions and support your HR people when they are hiring the new research employee.
This may be especially useful if you work for a smaller company, and hiring a foreigner does not happen very frequently.
But also large multinational companies with specialised HR staff may find it useful to liaise with the national bridgehead organisation for their country. For example, if you run into similar problems frequently, it may be that the regulatory framework does not match the needs of the industrial sector. The bridghehead organisations monitor where such problems occur, and are usually close to the organisations which shape and/ or implement the policies and regulations.
